9/9/09 - Another Win @ GSS!

M.G. and the Wisz Racing team kept up the hot streak at Golden Sands this past Friday night, picking up a 4th feature win on the season. M.G. started on the pole with the invert set, and was able to hold off all challengers to take home the victory.

The team also traveled to State Park Speedway and came home with a solid 5th place finish in the Wayne “Lodi” Lodhoulz special.

8/25/09 - Two Top 10's on the Weekend

Coming off a week of consecutive victories at Golden Sands, M.G. and the Wisz Racing team backed that up with a pair of top 10 finishes this past weekend. On Friday, M.G. qualified 2nd and finished 9th in the feature and on Sunday he qualified 1st and finished 8th in the feature.

8/16/09 - 2 in a row for M.G. @ GSS

Luck hasn't been on the team's side this year, but finally towards the end of the 2009 season things are turning around. For the 2nd time this week, M.G. put the Wisz Racing car in victory lane at Golden Sands.

He was aided by an incident before the race even began, taking out 2 competitiors that started in front of him. M.G. grabbed the lead after Chad Selk was docked two positions for using too much of the racetrack to keep M.G. behind. After that, it was all M.G. picking up another win.

8/12/09 - M.G. Victorious @ GSS

Through all the bad luck and rainouts of 2009, finally the team had a night where the car was working great and luck was on their side.

M.G. won the fast heat dash and would draw outside of the 2nd row for the A-main at Golden Sands. He quickly made his way past the top 3, gaining the lead on lap 7. He never looked back, taking his 2nd win of the season.

7/7/09 - 8th Place at GSS

M.G. qualified the car 8th fastest at Golden Sands on Friday night. He went on to win his heat race, and would start 8th in the main. That's where he would wind up finishing the race, giving the team a good run for the 2nd week in a row.

6/28/09 - M.G. Back in Victory Lane!

It was a great night for the Wisz Racing team, the 1st one in a while, and the team definitely needed it. The effort the team has put into the car hasn't shown in the results thus far, but the team is confident things are on the up.

There is no way we could race week in and week out without every single sponsor, family, and friends (old and new). Everyone involved with Wisz Racing/MG Racing is very important to its success. 

6/15/09 - GSS Results

M.G. qualified the car 12th fastest on Friday at Golden Sands. He would come home with a 15th place finish in the A-main event. The tire rotation is one of the issues the team is dealing with right now, hoping to get past it and get the car back in the top 5.

6/10/09 - GSS Results

It was another tough week for the Wisz Racing crew on Friday night. M.G. qualified the car 13th fastest, but come feature time it wasn't moving forward. He would finish the race in 16th.

Jim hopes to get the car setup properly to get the team back into the top 5 in the coming weeks.

6/1/09 - GSS Results

The Wisz Racing team picked up another heat race win on the season on Friday night at Golden Sands Speedway. M.G. was looking to crack the top 5 in the A-main, but was pushed to the extreme outside line during a battle in the middle of the pack. He would still hang on to take home a 10th place finish for the night.

5/28/09 - WCS @ Golden Sands Results

The WCS race didn't go as planned for the Wisz Racing team on Memorial Day. During inspection, the tech official deemed that the carburetor in the car was not legal to race. M.G. was able to qualify for the main by winning the last chance race, starting the car 20th in the main.

He ran the car up to about 11th place, when it just shut off on him and he pulled into the infield. Until further notice the team will not be racing at Marshfield Motor Speedway. We are working on getting the new engine together and until then we will not participate there.

Special thank you to Mark Eswein & his team for borrowing a carburetor so we could race on Monday. Also congratulations on the victory!

5/10/09 - 9th Place @ GSS

The Wisz racing team brought home a 9th place finish on Friday night at Golden Sands. M.G. picked up his 1st heat race win of the season as well.

5/4/09 - 4th Place Finsh at GSS

Opening night at Golden Sands was an overall success, M.G. qualified the car 9th fastest and took 2nd in the heat. He would start 9th in the feature, and willed the car into the top 5, picking up a 4th place finish for the night. The Wisz racing team is focused on wins and getting a championship this season, hoping to get the car in the top 5 in qualifying every week.

10/20/08 - Golden Sands 2008 DVDs Available

Golden Sands Speedway fans,

I have Bill Holland's 2008 Golden Sands Speedway DVD for sale @ $20.00 each. He worked very hard on this and has countless hours in it. I got together with some of our sponsors to help him with production costs and sponsored the video.

A-1 Auto, KTM Construction, Mechanical Services Inc., Kings Campers, and Feltz Lumber Co. all stepped up to make this project happen and Bill Holland and I would like to thank them all. It's people like them that will keep short track racing alive in Central Wisconsin.
